This section shows the positions and specifications of the motors, sensors, and solenoids used in the product.

Type 0f Motors: DC motor (42VDC±5%)

1 – ASF Motor
- Function: Used for driving the feed mechanism (Pickup Roller, Rear ASF Assy, Rear Unit)
2 – CR Motor Assy
- Function: Used for CR operation driving
3 – I/S Motor
- Function: Used for driving the pump of Inksystem Assy
4 – Decompression Motor
- Function: Used for supplying ink from the ink packs to the buffer of the ink supply unit.
5 – PF Motor
- Function:
  - Used for feed and delivery roller driving.
  - Used for driving the APG lever.
A – Rear ASF Solenoid
- Function: Performs switching of the ASF motor drive transmission to the Rear ASF Assy

1 – Rear Unit Detection Sensor
- Function: Detects the installation state of the Rear Unit.
- Sensor type: Mechanical contact (3.3VDC±5%)
2 – Ink End Sensor
- Function: Detects the end of the ink.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
3 – Maintenance Box Detection Sensor Assy
- Function: Used for maintenance box recognition.
- Sensor type: CSIC
4 – Ink Pack Sensor (C)
- Function: Used for ink pack (cyan) recognition.
- Sensor type: CSIC
5 – Ink Pack Sensor (M)
- Function: Used for ink pack (magenta) recognition.
- Sensor type: CSIC
6 – ADF/SCN Open Sensor (WF-C579R/C579Ra) or Printer Cover Open Sensor (WF-C529R)
- Function: Detects the open/closed state of the ADF/SCN unit or the printer cover
- Sensor type: Mechanical contact (3.3VDC±5%)
7 – Front Cover Open Sensor
- Function: Detects the open/closed state of the front cover.
- Sensor type: Mechanical contact (3.3VDC±5%)
8 – Ink Pack Sensor (Bk)
- Function: Used for ink pack (black) recognition.
- Sensor type: CSIC
9 – Ink Pack Sensor (Y)
- Function: Used for ink pack (yellow) recognition.
- Sensor type: CSIC

1 – ASF Encoder
- Function: Used for paper loading driving (ASF motor) control.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
2 – CR Encoder
- Function: Used for CR operation control (CR scale reading).
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
3 – PW Sensor
- Function: Used for paper leading edge and paper width detection.
- Sensor type: Reflective photo interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
4 – IS Encoder
- Function: Used for ink eject driving (I/S motor) control.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
5 – PF Encoder
- Function: Used for paper feed driving (PF motor) control.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)

1 – Cassette Detection Sensor
- Function: Detects the insertion state of the paper cassette
- Sensor type: Mechanical contact (3.3VDC±5%)
2 – Cassette Paper Detection Sensor
- Function: Detects whether or not there is paper inside the paper cassette.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
3 – Rear ASF Paper Detection Sensor
- Function: Detects whether or not there is paper inside the Rear ASF Assy.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
4 – Feed Sensor
- Function: Used for paper conveyance detection between the pickup roller and PE sensor.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
5 – PE Sensor
- Function: Detects the paper leading edge and paper trailing edge during paper feeding.
- Sensor type: Transmissive photo-interrupter (3.3VDC±5%)
6 – Temperature and Humidity Sensor
- Function: Measures temp/humidity to set the appropriate drying time.
- Sensor type: Analog sensor (3.3VDC±5%)
7 – Ink Leak Sensor
- Function: Detects the ink leakage inside the ink supply unit.
- Sensor type: Analog sensor (3.3VDC±5%)
