WF-C579, WF-C529 ADF/SCN fatal error 5
Error name:
- Contact detection distance exceeded (error code: 100017)
- Opposite side contact detection distance exceeded error (error code: 100018)
- Wrong contact detection distance error (error code: 100019)
Cause:
- Occurs if the CIS module cannot correctly detect the origin position during the initial operation.
Suspected cause:
- CIS module FFC disconnected
- ADF/SCN Unit failure

– STEP 1: Check the connection state of the ADF/SCN cables
- Connect the two ADF/SCN cables to the Main Board Assy again.
Did the error occur after connecting the cables again?- Yes? – Go to step 2

– STEP 2: Check the connection state of the CIS module FFC
- Is the SCN CIS module correctly connected to the ADF/SCN main board?
- Yes? – Replace the ADF/SCN Unit.
- No? – Reconnect the SCN CIS module FFC.

Error name:
- MAIN-B connection error (error code: 100048)
Cause:
- Occurs if communication is not possible between the ADF/SCN main board and Main Board Assy of the main unit.
Suspected cause:
- Faulty connection between ADF/SCN main board and Main Board Assy of the main unit (cable disconnected or broken)
- ADF/SCN Unit failure
- Main Board Assy failure

– STEP 1: Check the connection state of the ADF/SCN cables
- For ADF/SCN cables, check the following items.
• Are the ADF/SCN cables connected correctly to the Main Board Assy?
• Any damage on the ADF/SCN cables?
Is the result OK?- Yes? – Go to step 2
- No?
– When disconnected Reconnect the cable.
– When damaged Replace the ADF/SCN Unit.
– STEP 2: Reinstall and check the ADF/SCN Unit
- Check by replacing the ADF/SCN Unit with a normal unit (which works normally).
Did the error occur?- Yes? – Replace the Main Board Assy.
- No? – Replace the ADF/SCN Unit.

Error name:
- MAIN-B ROM level mismatch error (error code: 100050)
Cause:
- Occurs if the main unit firmware and SCN firmware versions do not match
Suspected cause:
- Main unit firmware and ADF/SCN firmware version mismatch
