Route Ink System Cables on Epson WF 4830, 4820 Series

– Route the Ink System Motor Cable as follows.

  • STEP 1. Route it through the rib on the back side of the Ink System Unit.
  • STEP 2. Route it through the hooks (x2) on the side of the Ink System Unit.

– Route the Ink System Motor Encoder FFC as follows.

  • STEP 1. Route it through the ribs (x3) on the back side of the Ink System Unit.
  • STEP 2. Route it through the ribs (x3) on the side of the Ink System Unit.

Route Cables on Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy (WF-4830 Series)

– Route the PE3 Sensor Cable as follows.

  • STEP 1. At the upper side, route it through the grooves (x3) and hook of the Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy.
  • STEP 2. On the side, route it through the grooves (x2) and hooks (x3) of the Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy.
  • STEP 3. Put the ferrite core to the position shown above.
  • STEP 4. Bundle the PE3 Sensor Cable, the Power Supply Cable and 1st Cassette Sensor Cable together with acetate tape.
  • STEP 5. Route it through the clamp of shield plate with the 1st Cassette Sensor Cable, and connect them to the connectors on the Main Board.

Route Cables on Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy (WF-4820 Series)

– Route the PE3 Sensor Cable as follows.

  • STEP 1. At the upper side, route it through the grooves (x3) and hook of the Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy.
  • STEP 2. On the side, route it through the grooves (x2) and hooks (x3) of the Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy.
  • STEP 3. Put the ferrite core to the position shown above.
  • STEP 4. Route it from the top side of the Main Board, and secure it to the Shield Plate with acetate tape.
  • STEP 5. Connect it to the connector (CN105) on the Sub Board.

Route Cables on 1st Cassette Sensor (WF-4830 Series)

Route the 1st Cassette Sensor Cable as follows.

  • STEP 1. Route it through the grooves (x2) of the Frame Base Assy.
  • STEP 2. Route it through the grooves (x2) and hook of the Guide Rear ASF Upper Assy.
  • STEP 3. Bundle the PE3 Sensor Cable, the Power Supply Cable and 1st Cassette Sensor Cable together with acetate tape.
  • STEP 4. Secure it with the clamps (x2) of the shield plate, and connect it to the connector on the Main Board.

Route Cables on Paper Cassette Sensor (WF-4820 Series)

– Route the Cassette Sensor Cable as follows.

  • STEP 1. Route it through the grooves (x2) of the Frame Base Assy.
  • STEP 2. Route the Cassette Sensor Cable through the clamp, and connect it to the connector (CN504) on the Main Board

Route Holder Connector FFC on Epson WF 4830, 4820 Series

Route the Holder Connector FFC as follows.

  • STEP 1. Secure it to the Frame Base Assy with double-sided tape as shown above.
  • STEP 2. Secure it to the rear of the Main Frame with 2 pieces of double-sided tape, and connect it to the connector on the Main Board.
